Dr. Mira Acs graduated from the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo in 1984. She has been practising in downtown Toronto ever since. In 1987 she became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Her professional activities have included work for the Ontario Association of Optometrists, of which she was the president in 1993. She is the President of the Vision Institute of Canada and also serves on the Admissions Committee of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Acs enjoys investigating new products and procedures that can potentially benefit her patients. She has served on numerous Advisory Boards, including those for TLC Laser Eye Centers, and many Contact Lens and Solution Manufacturers. Her practice is a full scope, primary care practice, including the use of therapeutic pharmaceutical agents.
Dr. Acs has found a great deal of satisfaction in the close to 40 years of optometric practice and continues to look forward to the future of eye care for her patients.
